- Complete and submit your FAFSA online. The earlier this is submitted the better the chance of receiving a pell grant. (It is helpful for parents to get their income tax returns prepared early)

- Submit your FAFSA if not done so already
- Rank your final list of colleges

- By this time, you should receive your Student Aid Report which states how much financial aid you qualify for if the FAFSA was submitted.
- Look into the housing situation on the colleges you would like to attend. Fill out the housing application if you want to live on campus.
