Solomon High School will be hosting a poetry contest during your SSAG period on December 14th, 2018. The Regional competition will be held at Fort Hays State University on Saturday, January 19th. The state contest will take place in Salina on March 2nd and Nationals are in Washington D.C. on April 30 - May 1. The age requirement is Freshmen - Seniors. The more students have a chance to perform in public will help in public speaking and working in the workforce. Students who participate in the contest have a chance at winning $200 and $500 prizes towards the school poetry contest fundraiser.
