food drive

Solomon High School held a school wide can food drive to help the community before Thanksgiving Break. The goal for the can drive was to raise canned goods for families in need. The drive helps about 88 people in the Solomon community each year. Each SSAG group’s goal was to have 50 cans donated. We talked to Mr. Owen and he said, “Our students are going above and beyond and they care about giving back. They were able to increase the canned goods donated from last year by nearly 300%.” The canned goods collected will be distributed to families around Christmas time.
