On Thursday, December 10th the Solomon High School girls traveled to Ell-Saline to take on the Cardinals. The girls’ varsity lost to Ell- Saline 37-65.
When we asked Coach Douglas about the game he said, "the girls played very hard for the entirety of the game. Conditioning became a factor and we couldn't keep up with Ell-Saline's extremely deep bench. I was happy with our ability to draw fouls and to avoid fouling the other team. We need to improve upon 7-27 from the free throw line and limit the other team's second chances through offensive rebounds."
The high school boys’ team also traveled to Ell-Saline to take on the Cardinals. The Gorillas came out on top with a score of 63-46.
The next game for the Gorillas is on Friday, December 11th at home against the Minneapolis Lions. The games will be available via livestream on the Solomon High School Sports Network YouTube channel.
