Butterfly life cycle creation

Today is National Custodial Workers Day, and ours are KEY to our school! Our kindergarteners learned that “key” is something to unlock things, but it also means “important.”

Reminder that our flu shots on Monday are only open to students and staff. Unfortunately, this year it is not open to the community.

The BOE last spring, before COVID, gathered feedback from staff and a few community members. During that time they developed areas they wish to address in the next 5 years, however, they want to hear from everyone: parents, community, students, etc... The link below will send you to a survey dealing with the areas where the BOE wants more feedback and direction as they set the next 5 year plan in motion. Please take a moment and help our BOE out in creating a vision for USD 393 in the next 5 years!
Thanks,
Justin Coup, Supt

Today, we’ve been notified by the Saline County Health Department that a student/staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. Per our established protocol, we have thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the spaces. We are also following Saline and the other two counties' guidance to continue to take necessary measures to keep our students and staff safe. All students and staff identified as close contacts have been notified and are at home on quarantine.
The individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 and those identified as close contacts will not be allowed to return to school for at least 14 days from the date of exposure; however, they will have access to our remote learning. Things are changing daily and we are monitoring the situation. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 785-655-2541 or jcoup@usd393.net.
Sincerely,
Justin Coup, Superintendent
