Solomon Sports Update

On August 29th at 6:00 P.M. the high school and middle school volleyball athletes had a scrimmage against each other in the Solomon High School and Middle School gyms. The teams were split evenly based on the positions they play. The purpose of this scrimmage was to start off the season and to see what we need to work on for more competitive games. When the coach was asked how the scrimmage went she said, “it went very well and she was proud of how much we have improved in the two weeks of practice. It was also an opportunity to find things we needed to work on.” She stated that, “she is looking forward to watching the team grow over the course of the season.”

On August 29th at 7:00 P.M. The Solomon football players scrimmaged each other as a warm up for the season.  Brock Nelson, a senior football player said, “The game went well and he saw a lot of good things. He also saw some things that they can work and is looking forward to who will step up and how far they can make it.”

On August 30th at 7:00 P.M. the Solomon High School Football team played in a preseason jamboree at Lincoln. The Gorillas scrimmaged against Lincoln and St. John. Each team was allowed a certain number of offensive plays and score was not kept.
