Solomon, KS — Solomon High School proudly recognized Financial Literacy Month throughout
April by welcoming local professionals into the classroom to share their expertise and real-world experiences with students.
Shelly Crane, owner of Almost Home Realty, visited the Personal Finance class to discuss the importance of credit and credit scores. She provided valuable insight into how credit impacts major life decisions, helping students better understand how to build and maintain strong financial habits.
Debbie Hanna, owner of Vince Creek Accounting, spoke with Accounting students about careers in accounting and what it takes to operate as an independent business owner. Her presentation gave students a practical look into the profession and the opportunities available within the field.
Andrea Pedigo of Edward Jones presented to both Personal Finance and Entrepreneurship classes, highlighting the importance of investing and exploring a career as a financial planner. Her discussion emphasized long-term financial planning and the role investing plays in building financial security.
