On Thursday, September 9th the Solomon Gorilla High School Cross Country team traveled to Washington for the Washington County Invitational. The Gorillas placed 9th in the team scores. Tyler McLaughlin placed 59th, Perry Steele placed 57th, Reagan Perry placed 55th, Logan Hammersmith placed 45th, and Kiera Smith placed 14th.
When Coach Nordgren was asked what he was most looking forward to he said, “I am looking forward to watching my runners improve throughout the season. Seeing them get better from beginning to end is the goal.” We also asked what do you want to work on for your next competition he said, “We have been struggling with minor nagging pains and that showed with several of my runners at Washington. I'm hoping for them to heal so they can run to their potential.”
The Gorillas next meet will be at Bennington on Thursday, September 16th.
