On Thursday, September 16th the Solomon Gorillas MS Volleyball team traveled to Herington. The Gorillas finished the match winning in 3 sets (25-16, 18-25, 12-15).
When Coach Cook was asked what her team worked on since their last game she responded, “It was a great win! We had to change all of our rotations and all of the girls responded well with it! I’m looking forward to getting better and better! In practice we had to work on new positions for everyone and learn to cover the holes on the court. It definitely still needs some work but we are getting there!” We also asked what players stood out to her in this game and she said, “All of them stand out to me. It takes a whole team to win, not just one player. I will say Maddy Sudermann stepped up and has a new role for the team and did a great job! Briley Rego covered and dug up some awesome balls and had some great serves! ACES BABY ACES.”
The Gorillas will be at home to take on Wakefield for their next competition on Thursday, September 23rd. The games will be available via live stream on the Solomon High School Sports Network YouTube channel.
