On Tuesday, September 21 the Solomon Cross Country team traveled to Southeast of Saline for the Southeast of Saline Meet. For the women, Kiera Smith placed 35th with a time of 23:55. For the men, Logan Hammersmith placed 71st with a time of 24:01, and Tyler McLaughlin placed 89th with a time of 26:44.
When Coach Nordgren was asked about how the team had improved this meet from past meets, he said, “Almost everyone ran an overall PR.” We also asked him what was his highlight of the meet, he said, “Kiera breaking the school record that she just set last week.”
The Gorillas will be at Council Grove for their next meet on Thursday, September 30th.
