On Tuesday, October 12, the Solomon Gorillas HS Volleyball team stayed home for a dual on Senior Night. The team competed against the Wakefield Bombers and the Bennington Bulldogs. The Gorillas finished the games with a 1-1 record. They beat Wakefield in 3 sets (25-21, 23-25, 25-16). They lost to Bennington in 2 sets (8-25, 16-25).
When Coach Desormiers was asked about how she thought JV played this season? she said, “I am so proud of how our JV played this season. They worked so hard, and have improved so much! ” We also asked her what the team will work on for the WSL Tournament? “At the WSL tournament, I hope we can be consistent throughout our games. Since it's the end of the season, we need to be playing our best each game. I hope this weekend we can show that we can do that for multiple games in one day. ”
The Gorillas will be away for WSL League for their next competition on Saturday, October 16th. The games will be available via live stream on the Solomon High School Sports Network YouTube channel.
