5th Grade students will be recognized when we return from Winter Break!
In our last unit of 2024 for Senior 101, we focused on Event Planning, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. Each class developed a business plan for a Holiday Pop-Up Drink Shop, where we served festive drinks and snacks to students and staff before and after school today. Together, the classes raised $100 for Operation Gorilla Family

On Saturday our Gorilla wrestlers competed in Minneapolis and Helen received 4th place in her weight class! All the wrestlers did great and we won some tough matches!
Thank you so much for your generous contributions to Operation Gorilla Family 2024! Your donations of food, canned goods, and purses for Moms were overwhelming. Several organizations also donated specific items to help meet the needs: Abilene Machine with 11 turkeys, the Solomon Wranglers 4-H Club with 40 hams, the Solomon Gorilla Foundation with laundry soap, DS&O Electric Cooperative with 140 boxes of cereal, and Katie Ontiveroz's handmade lap quilts for seniors. Together, we raised over $7,000! Every family on the Angel Tree was selected, and wrapped presents are awaiting them for Christmas. Every donation will make a significant impact. Your support truly embodies the spirit of community and generosity! Here are a few photos of Student Council helping sort the donations and some completed holiday baskets.
