Solomon High School’s FBLA chapter is kicking off its biggest fundraiser of the year, inviting the community to make a meaningful impact both locally and globally. From today through May 5, 2026, the chapter is collecting gently used shoes of all kinds—including tennis shoes, dress shoes, work boots, and athletic footwear—in partnership with Funds2Orgs.
“This fundraiser is a win for everyone,” said Rachel Livingston, FBLA Advisor at Solomon High School. “Our students are gaining opportunities through FBLA, while also helping the environment and supporting families around the world. It’s a powerful example of how a small act—like donating a pair of shoes—can make a big difference.”
Community members are encouraged to clean out their closets and donate any gently used shoes. Donations can be turned in to Mrs. Livingston’s room or any Solomon High School FBLA member. We will have collection points before school at the bus, elementary and cafeteria.
If you would like a color flier for your workplace, church, clubs, etc. please let Mrs. Livingston know. rlivingston@usd393.net

This significant accomplishment highlights the chapter’s dedication to expanding student involvement and creating opportunities for leadership, career development, and community engagement. The remarkable growth reflects the enthusiasm of Solomon High School students and the commitment of the FBLA program to making a positive impact both in and out of the classroom.
“Seeing this level of growth is a testament to our students’ hard work and their willingness to step up, get involved, and challenge themselves,” said FBLA advisor Rachel Livingston. “We are incredibly proud of what they have accomplished.”
The Kansas FBLA State Leadership Conference brings together students from across the state to compete, network, and be recognized for their achievements in business and leadership.
Solomon High School FBLA continues to build momentum and looks forward to further success as members strive to make their mark in their school and community.

With this achievement, the Solomon FBLA chapter has now successfully completed 6 out of the 7 required sections of the Champion Chapter program, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to excellence in leadership, career preparation, and community involvement.
The Champion Chapter Challenge is a national FBLA program that encourages chapters to actively engage in service, professional development, and growth-focused initiatives. Earning the CTE Celebration Award highlights the chapter’s efforts to promote Career and Technical Education and raise awareness of the opportunities it provides for students.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our members to not only grow as leaders but also to celebrate and advocate for the importance of Career and Technical Education,” said FBLA advisor Rachel Livingston. “We are proud of their continued progress and excited to work toward completing all seven sections.”
Solomon High School FBLA remains focused on reaching its final milestone in the Champion Chapter Challenge while continuing to make a positive impact within the school and community
