Throughout the month, students will be building real-world money skills—from budgeting and saving to understanding credit, investing, and making smart financial decisions. These are lessons that go far beyond the classroom and help set our students up for lifelong success. At Solomon High School, we believe financial literacy is a powerful tool—and we’re proud to prepare our students to take control of their financial futures.

This is KNOT Your Regular Fundraiser-FBLA needs your help!

Solomon High School’s FBLA chapter is kicking off its biggest fundraiser of the year, inviting the community to make a meaningful impact both locally and globally. From today through May 5, 2026, the chapter is collecting gently used shoes of all kinds—including tennis shoes, dress shoes, work boots, and athletic footwear—in partnership with Funds2Orgs.

“This fundraiser is a win for everyone,” said Rachel Livingston, FBLA Advisor at Solomon High School. “Our students are gaining opportunities through FBLA, while also helping the environment and supporting families around the world. It’s a powerful example of how a small act—like donating a pair of shoes—can make a big difference.”

Community members are encouraged to clean out their closets and donate any gently used shoes. Donations can be turned in to Mrs. Livingston’s room or any Solomon High School FBLA member. We will have collection points before school at the bus, elementary and cafeteria.

If you would like a color flier for your workplace, church, clubs, etc. please let Mrs. Livingston know. rlivingston@usd393.net

Comp 11 class went to KSU on March 11th for a visit to Hale Library. They visited the Libraries Innovation Lab, made buttons and wood cutouts on the laser printer, got a library tour, and then made videos in the video lab. They ate at the Union, then did research on K-state’s computers for their research papers. It was a great day!!

Carnival Fun with STEM! 🎡
Our eighth graders have been working hard on carnival games where its all about chance!
They designed exciting games for elementary students to enjoy. Each game was a chance to learn about probability in a hands-on way. Thank you Mr. Jeffery for teaching a fantastic way to bring STEM concepts to life and foster teamwork and creativity!
