I will be doing a Facebook Live regarding the closure as well as how we will provide food service at 6pm tonight. I will try to answer questions, but some I may not be able to answer. Stay positive.

Is there anything better than seeing students come together and read to one another? We all had a great time celebrating “Read Across America” Day & Dr. Seuss week at school! 📚

“You do not like them. So you say. Try them! Try them! And you may!”
On Wednesday our First Graders had the chance to try green eggs & ham! Some loved them & some at least gave them a try! 🍳💚

We are so grateful to The Eisenhower Foundation for our free books the students get to take home & keep!

Oh the places we’ll go as we grow! We read the Dr. Seuss book and made our own paper mache balloons .🎈

Celebrating our final day of Dr. Seuss week with 2nd graders reading to our friends in 1st grade.

Second grade enjoying green eggs and ham in honor of Dr. Seuss😁

Final Assembly of our blankets! Crocheting is definitely not as easy as it looks but they persevered & tried their best, so proud of them!

The hydroponic system is up and running. Excited to see how the self-reliant system grows plants for our greenhouse!

Miss D’s kindergarteners had a great time today making Oobleck with Mrs. Kilgore’s 5th graders!

Today we measured matter’s buoyancy.

Today we received two free books from generous sponsors such as The Eisenhower Foundation. We are much appreciative to all the donors!

A big shout to Kansas State Polytechnic for bring the "roadshow" to Solomon.

Our middle school band and choir went to the Wheat State League Music Festival today. The band revived a 1 (superior rating) and the choir received a 2 (excellence rating). We are so proud of how well they performed today! You can hear them next at their concert on May 4th at 7pm. #GorillaMusic

Celebrating reading with Dr. Seuss Week!
Thank you to Becky McKay from Solomon Corp. for reading to us, and all the other community people who read on Read Across America Day to our students.

Designing and building a hydroponic system for the greenhouse... hoping to finish by the end of the week!

Mrs. Chegwidden came to teach 4th grade the Red Cross Disaster Preparedness Pillowcase Project. They love their pillowcases and learned a lot!

We celebrated Read Across America!

Another great MS Scholar’s Bowl meet at Wakefield. The JV group received 2nd place with record of 4-1. Varsity finished with a record of 3-2! Great group of “scholarly” students! Next meet is March 30 at Centre.

Strength & Conditioning students assessed their progress in various tests for the purpose of measuring progress & identifying any limiting factors to help determine the programming focus moving forward.
