🚨Mini Cheer Clinic Participants🚨 Participants will meet in the cafeteria immediately after school tomorrow, October 11th. They will learn cheers, jumps, how to spirit, etc. The cheer team will make sure they are at the track for game time, have their shirts on, and get fed dinner. Make sure they come to school wearing what they will cheer in. The weather is supposed to be warm tomorrow so dress accordingly. Prek - 1st grade = cheer first quarter 2nd grade - 6th grade = cheer first and second quarter When your participant is done cheering, they will be waiting for you west of the concession stands. Apply Kansas is an annual statewide campaign in which high schools conduct events to help seniors apply to college with their peers and with help, guidance, and a cheering squad from their school! There is no application fee to apply to participating schools during this time.

Last Friday, the college English Comp I class had an amazing time at Hale Library at Kansas State University! They explored resources for their upcoming research papers, toured the library, enjoyed lunch at the Union, and took part in exciting activities like an innovation lab scavenger hunt, designing laser-printed name tags, and making one-button studio videos about why Solomon High School is the best! Our seniors are taking advantage of Apply Kansas Week! Over the last several weeks, they have researched majors, colleges, tech schools, and programs. If they choose to, they are applying to post-secondary schools and programs this week. Stay tuned for more updates!

Last week, our high school physics students built trebuchets - a type of catapult- to study motion and energy. After loving the challenge, one student went home with a new weekend project! Today, he brought in his impressive build for his class to enjoy! 🎯⚙️
