Headed to the Substate Games tonight? Come early and enjoy a delicious soup and chili feed for just $5.00 to support the new Gorilla Wrestling Team. We will start serving at 5:30 until the soup is gone. Vote on your favorites to see which staff member takes home the title of our Soup King or Queen. Come support our wrestlers while enjoying some Gorilla Basketball!
These middle school students went to FHSU this morning to participate in their high-altitude balloon launch! We will post a video of the launch soon, but if you would like to track the balloon location and the stats (speed and altitude and such), you may do so by following the following instructions!
1) Go to https://aprs.fi/#!mt=roadmap&z=13&call=&others=1&timerange=10800&tail=10800
2) Zoom out and navigate to Hays Kansas (it defaults far away!)
3) You will look for a balloon image---it will likely have the callsign K1AMO or N8VRN
They predict their balloon should land north of Wilson Lake and south of Osborne depending on the wind, and should land in about an hour! 🦍

The sub-state games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are KSHSAA sanctioned events. This means NO passes will be accepted. Admission prices will be $6 for students and $8 for adults.
Big Red T's has stepped up to pay for all 5th-12th grade students admission as long as they are in the student section.
