On Monday, these 5th graders represented Solomon at the 17 annual Lego Robotics Competition at FHSU. While the color sorting challenge was a struggle, both teams found success in SumoBot. There were 96 robots in this events. Both teams made it to round 3 in the brackets. Congrats

Congrats to Macey and Emma for placing 5th in Business Plan at State FBLA.

Preschoolers have been mastering all the different attributes of shapes. They finished up their activitiy today with painting those shapes on their Easter egg.

Good luck to all Solomon HS students competing at the FBLA State Conference today and tomorrow.

There will be no school for 3 year old and 4 year old preschool students on Wednesday, April 5th. This will allow staff to support preschool and kindergarten round up activities.
ALL OTHER GRADES LEVELS WILL HAVE A REGULAR SCHOOL DAY!

At Starbase today, the 5th graders were given the tour of the Blackhawk facility. They got to try night vision and get on the Blackhawk.

I'm just reaching out to everyone to clarify the free Donkey ride tickets pictured here. This is good for one ride on a donkey during intermission. All K-12 students still need to purchase a ticket.

A quick update on facility progress as well as gym progress from the water damage.

The kindergarteners loved the FFA Kiddie Barnyard on Thursday!

Thank you so much to all those who have helped provide books for our younger students. This is this month's book.

Thank you contributors to "Gorilla Readers." we have had so much fun with this month's book, If I Built A School. We read the today and then came up with a few ideas of our own to help McCown Gordon Construction.

5th Grade started their Starbase visits today.

Last night the BOE approved two changes to the current calendar:
1. LAST DAY of SCHOOL--May 19th
2. 8th Grade Promotion/JH Awards- May 17th
We made the change due to ZERO SNOW days and it allows our teachers time to pack and sort through items before we open the new facility in August.
Have a wonderful Spring Break, see you back March 20th.

Started the day with a little Structured Academic Controversy.

Congrats to senior Macey Maddy for being selected as one of the Abilene Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) scholarship winners for their Good Citizen Award!
