The Solomon Marching Band received a 2 (excellent) rating at the state fair today with several individual outstanding scores from the judges. Great job by these kids today, and for their hard work they were rewarded with a little fun at the fair.

Mr. Riordan’s and Mrs. Befort’s 6th graders had an activity day practicing Latitude and Longitude. Some battleship and Google Earth searching.

Happy “Fun Friday,” from First Grade! Today we made coffee filter butterflies. We love the creativity the kids had with this project. Check out those smiles! They were so proud of their creations. 🦋

Due to a last minute sickness we won't be able to live stream the high school volleyball matches at Peabody this evening. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Great to see our 3rd grade students, FFA, and 4-H students participating in county wide AG days at fairgrounds.

Storms prevented our high schoolers from running, but congrats to Justus Nordgren and Karis Nordgren for both finishing 15th

4th grade has been working on place value. Today they created a place value donut, on the donut the sprinkles are the place value blocks that match their number to the thousands in standard, expanded, and word form. While working they enjoyed a tasty 🍩 from Donut 🍩 Palace!!

There will be no JV game on Monday for football at Solomon. Next game is Friday at Wakefield! Congrats to the Gorillas for the big win tonight!
Please see the story about the Solomon Community Garden in the news feed section. Mr. Riordan, Mr. Davidson, and students were able to create something truly special to benefit the local community. The project was a months long labor of love and is providing a bountiful harvest.

Students in Mrs. Grant's Spanish I class completed an activity where they had to rove about the room in order to discuss the weather with their classmates.
