Mrs. Kirby’s Class walked to the community garden today. We were able to pick many vegetables and take them home to their families.

Kindergarteners had fun on their mini field trip to the community garden today. We’ll eat some of our harvest for snack tomorrow.


Junior high football will begin at 7:30 p.m. teens will take the field at 7:15 p.m. to warm up and resume the ball game.

HS Football for tomorrow has changed from a home game to an away game due to COVID-19 at Rural Vista. We will play at Linn. Kickoff will be 7:00 at Linn HS. Pass it on!
The high school and junior high cross country teams will compete in their first meet tomorrow at the Abilene golf course. First race at 4 pm and a rolling schedule after that. Come support your Solomon runners!

If your athlete did not receive an order form for fall sports pictures, they can pick them up at the office. Last call for orders will be Friday September 3. If your child was there, a individual picture was taken of all players. Support your child with a photo button only $6.00! 21st Century Journalism wants Solomon High School to know about the volleyball scrimmage on Friday.

HS Volleyball travels to Peabody on Saturday to start their season. First game is at 9:00 am. Peabody-Burns requires masks be worn by all spectators. Bring your mask and cheer on the Lady Gorillas as they start their year off!

Students in Mrs. Grant's English 10 class practice creating their own "Sistine Chapel" artwork. The students learned about The Italian Renaissance in Mr. Nordgren's World History Class and then drew pictures from their favorite pieces of literature in Mrs. Grant's English class.

More of the 4th grade team building challenges…human knot and the tallest tower. In the tallest tower teams had to work together to construct the tallest free standing tower with spaghetti noodles, mini marshmallows, and tape. We are using the challenges to learn to communicate and work together.
