As we gear up for the start of HS basketball/bowling and continue with MS basketball, the Kansas State High School Activities Association has made a change in attendance. Last Tuesday, the KSHSAA Board of Directors passed a motion limiting it to only players, coaches, and workers. No parents will be allowed to attend. Starting January 29, this will be revisited locally. You can catch all Gorilla activities on our YouTube channel. What an experience! Proud of our school and our coach to host one of the first virtual Scholar's Bowl meets in KS. Great to see our kids working it and competing! With a positive mindset, nothing can hold us back!
Our Winter Homecoming Dance will take place on Saturday, December 5th from 7:30 pm until 10:00 pm. No outside guests allowed. Students must wear a mask the entire time. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
Our Winter Royalty Court candidates are Arlyn Gonzalez, Emma Seidl, Aaliyah Smith, Bennie Garza, Spencer LaCost and Blayz Saltkill. Crowning will be at 3:15 pm on Friday at the football stadium. Community is invited to attend, but asked to sit in the bleachers on the east side.

For math today we practiced keeping an accurate score while playing horseshoes. We also learned that the first world championship of horseshoes took place in 1910 in Bronson Kansas.

The dugout roofs are almost complete, and more importantly the geometry in instruction students are learning valuable lessons about budgeting a project, weather delays, and trigonometry.
The students were able to compete in an online tournament through Wichita West HS. Thankful for being able to still have competitions even though COVID has added many new changes and challenges! 6 feet apart, through a video meeting, and still quick on the buzzers!
