We tried...but unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. NO SCHOOL TOMORROW, JANUARY 10TH. With the last round of slick, wet snow tonight it has made for difficult travel across the district. I hope you are safe and warm and we hope to start back up on Monday. We tried, but the safety of our students and staff comes first.

TWO HOUR DELAY for students on FRIDAY, Jan. 10th. 10am START, doors will open at 9:30am. NO BREAKFAST SERVED. Please be safe, and if you feel like your child(ren) can't attend, please call the school tomorrow. We will have vans driving around Solomon to pick up walkers in town beginning at 9:30am.

NO SCHOOL at Solomon on January 9th, THURSDAY. Our counties, three, and our city have done a tremendous job digging out of the blizzard. However, we don't have roads that will allow for pick-up in our outlying areas. We hope with warm weather we can go on Friday. If we can go, it will be a 2 hour delay to help our bus drivers navigate the new routes and challenges. We wanted to let you know in advance what we are thinking moving forward. Safety is the most important factor when making these decisions. We are anxiously waiting to see our Gorilla Family!

The JH basketball games scheduled for tomorrow at Centre have been cancelled. These games will be rescheduled at a later date that has yet to be determined.

The Gorillas have been busy this semester! Successful events like Trunk or Treat, Community Clean Up Day, Operation Gorilla Family, and Angel Christmas Tree have served valued community members. In addition to these community efforts, the Gorillas have also excelled in academics, character and various clubs offered at USD 393. Finally, there were incredible wins in sports, with the Cross Country team competing at the state level, our football players earning Wheat State League Honors and the wrestling team building momentum with top placements. Great job GORILLAS! We are excited to see what you achieve in the coming semester.

The High School Girls basketball team enjoyed some team bonding today at the Alley in Salina!

Gorilla wrestling hit the road to Russell this morning to cap off their busy week! It was another successful day for the team. Richard Hardin and McKenzie Rohr both finished in 2nd place, Aryana Burge finished in 3rd place and Aiden Shepard and Matthias Baxa finished in 4th!

Happy Holidays from Mrs. Stein's class!
Before break we enjoyed decorating Christmas trees with our friends and families.

It was a great night of wrestling success @ Abilene - Mackenzie B. placed 1st, Helen placed 2nd, Aryana placed 3rd and McKenzie R. placed 4th! We are building momentum!
