
Both the HS golf tournament and JH track meet have been postponed for today. Make-up times and locations are being worked out, and we will let you know ASAP. It's sad there are no events, but we're happy for the rain!


There are 13 Days until graduation day! Our Senior Spotlight today is Wyatt Howard. Wyatt plans to attend Pratt Community College and major in Wildlife Outfitting and operations. He will also play in the pep band and participate on the shooting sports team. His goal is to be a fisheries biologist. He plans to spend his summer working at Abilene Machine and fishing as much as possible.


We had a great kindergarten field trip! We went to Walt's Campground for mini golf, a nature hike, and ice cream and to Legg's Landing to see and feed animals.






Mrs. Kirby's Class went to Walt's Campground to play mini golf!! Then to top it off we went to Legg's Landing to see, feed and hold animals!

14 Days til Graduation. Elise Baier is the Senior Spotlight of the day! Elise is attending KU and majoring in Psychology. She hopes to participate in intramural sports and take dance classes there. She is working this summer at Ad Astra Coffee Shop and Sunbelt Solomon.


Students (current grade 5-11) playing sports next year will need a physical to participate. Most students were given sports physicals today and there are extra copies in the HS office. Please make checks payable to SRHC.


Don't forget about the daddy-daughter dance on Sunday from 1-2:30!

15 days! Our second Senior Spotlight is Hayden Zerbe. Hayden enlisted in the U.S. Navy and will attend basic training this July. His plans include traveling the world as a Special Ops Diver and making the military his career. Hayden also graduated with his associate's degree in HVAC from Salina Tech. Good Luck, Hayden!

It is 16 short days until our seniors take their first step out into the world as Gorilla Alumni. Our first senior spotlight is Taytum Anderson. Taytum is heading to K-State, where she plans to major in Human Development and Family Science. Her future goal is to become a Juvenile Youth Specialist.

Don't forget about Pizza Bingo this Saturday in the HS Gym! Come out and watch the PreK through 2nd grade students perform the musical 'Swamp' beginning at 5 p.m. Then stay, enjoy some pizza, and play some rounds of bingo!!
Doors will open at 4:45 p.m. The concert will run from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Concessions and bingo sales will begin at 5:30 p.m. directly following the concert. Bingo will start at 6 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit the Solomon Gorilla Foundation. Just a reminder, we can only accept cash!! Menu prices are below. Bingo cards will be sold at a suggested donation of $5 for 20 cards.


2024 Prom Schedule


FFA has some exciting results from the Floriculture and Livestock Judging Competitions!
🐄 In Livestock, Greenhands placed 13th as a team out of 25! Our top placers were Justus Nordgren (38th), Breken Coup (56th), and Britt Sellers (100th). We placed 25th out of 28 in the senior division.
🌻 In Floriculture we placed 3rd as a team! Our top placers were Elizabeth Ohl (FIRST!), Reese Perry (16th), Jack Westhead (17th), and Koehn Duryea (25th). The senior division placed 23rd!









🦍🎨 Yesterday, Solomon Art Portfolio students attended the 49th annual FHSU High School Art Day. They set up and displayed artworks representing several art students in 2D and 3D classes. There were 1,200 students from 70 schools in Kansas and Colorado in attendance!

All of the winning artwork from WSL and FHSU will be displayed Saturday at the fine arts/Pizza Bingo event.






The preschoolers had such a fun time today on their field trip to Lakewood Discovery Center!
