Brooklyn Dooley took first place and got a merit ribbon in oil painting, Cara Spaeny took third and Lakin Rhodes got a merit in Mixed Media for their painted relief carvings. Solomon students swept the non-color pencil drawing category with Ayden Olson taking 1st for his marker landscape, Payton Ballou took 2nd with her pastel portrait and Kaden Thompson took 3rd with his abstract pastel art. There was an on-site art contest where participants had a limited time with various media to complete a copy of a famous work of art, and Etel McDowell took 1st with her Picasso! All of these can be viewed in the hallway outside the art room. The next contest is on April 17th in Hays.
