SHS Bowling started off the 2024 by winning the Salina South Triangular at The Alley in Salina. Mac Collins, SR, was the individual medalist and Zayden Hughes, FR, was the 3rd place medalist. The boys set a new school for high series with a 1561 score. All six boys were able to contribute in reaching this score. Elizabeth Ohl, JR, is the only girl competing this season. She started the year by setting career bests in high game and series. Good work Gorillas!! ❤️🎳🎳❤️

Closed for inclement weather
Dear Parents/Guardians, Due to anticipated severe weather conditions, our school will close early today at 1:30 PM for the safety of all students and staff. Weather is supposed to move in between 3:30-4 PM, and we want to give our drivers enough time to get kids home safely. Please make arrangements to ensure that your child is picked up at 1:30 PM. There will be no afterschool activities like practices, scholars bowl, or afterschool programs. We will also be CANCELLING SCHOOL for tomorrow. NO SCHOOL, Tuesday January 9th. High winds and snow will make for blizzard-like conditions. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter. Stay warm and travel safe! Sincerely, USD #393 Solomon Administration
