Check out ALL this news in Ag and FFA! Yesterday some of our Greenhands competed in poultry judging in Junction City. Out of twenty-three schools, the Solomon FFA chapter placed fifth! Congratulations to our two top placers out of 115 students, McKenzie Rohr in 17th and Matthias Baxa in 18th! We also recently had presentations from our 8th-grade students on modern real-world agriculture problems. AND our FFA chapter also recently inducted some new Greenhands!

I have had some questions regarding who this would be most helpful for. The simple answer?? EVERYONE! Find out what the definition of College and Career is and how Solomon High School is preparing our students to be real-world-ready!

Solomon high school had a great time at the first ever Sunpowered challenge in Topeka today. Our students were recognized for their outstanding ability to collaborate with the other schools participating in the competition.

It's a GREAT week to be a Gorilla! 🦍

Do you believe in Groundhog Day? Mrs. Riordan's middle school SAAG had some mixed reactions when Phil didn't see his shadow, predicting an early spring this year!

Solomon Gorilla Bowling competed in the Junction City Triangular Thursday at the JC Bowl. We finished 3rd behind Junction City and Manhattan but the kids made great improvements. Three new school records were set and six individual PR's attained. The boys set new school records for high game with a 622 and series with a 1751. Mac Collins, SR, tied for second individual with a school record 618 series. Isaac Wood, JR, had PR game and series. Isaac Hammersmith, FR had a PR series. Quentin Collins, FR, had a PR series and Elizabeth Ohl, JR, had a PR game. Very proud of how hard all the kids are working at improvements in their game. We would like to take the time here to thank everyone for your support!!

ALL dismissals will be from our East parking lot (Pine Street Entrance). This includes buses, walkers, and vehicles, NO EXCEPTIONS. This is due to our west parking lot being used for the tournament happening here today. School Staff will be assisting with traffic flow. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but appreciate your willingness to be flexible.

Solomon is host of the 2024 JH WSL basketball tournament! Come enjoy some basketball on Thursday and Saturday.
